Special Broadcast and Funeral Services: A Global Celebration of Life
The Church's semiannual general conference will commence with a special tribute broadcast, inviting all to join in honoring President Nelson. This global broadcast, accessible via ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, BYUtv, and KSL, will feature remarks from several Church leaders, offering insights into the life and impact of this remarkable man. The broadcast will be available in 13 languages, ensuring a diverse and inclusive tribute.
And this is the part most people miss... The public funeral services, including a viewing, will take place the week after the October general conference. All are welcome to attend and hear the word of God through the Apostles and Church leaders during this global broadcast on October 4th and 5th. October 1st:
- "A Tribute to Russell M. Nelson" Broadcast: This event, though closed to the public, will be broadcast live and on-demand. Church leaders and The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square will pay their respects, honoring President Nelson's life and legacy. It's a chance to witness a heartfelt tribute, available in multiple languages, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and more.
October 6th:
- Public Viewing: All ages are invited to the Conference Center in Salt Lake City for a public viewing from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. It's a chance to pay respects and reflect on President Nelson's impact.
October 7th:
- Public Funeral Services: The funeral will be held at the Conference Center on Temple Square, open to the public aged 8 and above. Tickets are required and will be available online on October 2nd. The service will be broadcast globally, ensuring those unable to attend can still participate. More details on language accessibility will be provided.
President Nelson's passing on September 27, 2025, at his Salt Lake City home, marked the end of an era.
